At the “Happy Children, Happy Environment Festival” realized by Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia Primary School and Dr. Suat Günsel Preschool, students showcased their talents through drama, dance, folklore, and music performances, while drawing attention to the importance of environmental awareness.
Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia Primary School and Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia Preschool students performed unforgettable moments with their environmental festival. Held with great enthusiasm, the festival provided students with the opportunity to showcase their talents through unique activities they had prepared. The performances, which attracted great interest from parents, were highly appreciated by the audience.
The drama plays, folklore and dance performances, and music performances included in the program added a special touch to the festival. In particular, three different plays staged by the school’s Drama Club provided both entertaining and emotionally charged moments for the audience. The students, who stood out with their energy, harmony, and self-confidence on stage, received applause as a reward for their long preparation process.
Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia Preschool Receives Silver Flag Award
Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia Preschool students showcased their environmentally themed projects and art activities, prepared throughout the academic year as part of the “Green Schools Program”, during the week. The projects, particularly those focusing on recycling and sustainable living, were examined with interest and received appreciation from families.
Furthermore, Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia Preschool, continuing its studies in the field of environment and sustainability, made another significant success. Having upgraded its Green Flag status within the Green Schools Program, Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia Preschool earned the Silver Flag Award.
Environmental Awareness Means the Future!
Stating that they place great importance on supporting the social, cultural, and artistic development of students alongside their academic achievements, Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia Primary School Principal Canan Gürkan said that the festival offered an important opportunity for children to express themselves and gain environmental awareness. Canan Gürkan said, “We aimed to provide our students with the opportunity to discover and showcase their talents with out festival. It is of great importance to us that our children gain self-confidence, express themselves in different fields, and grow up as environmentally conscious individuals.”
Gürkan emphasized that the performances given by the students throughout the festival made them proud, adding, “Witnessing the excitement, happiness, and success of our children on stage brought us great joy.”
Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia Preschool Principal Beyza Kılınç said, “One of our biggest goals for our children is to ensure that they grow up as individuals who respect nature, are responsible, and embrace a sustainable way of life.” Kılınç emphasized that children raised with this awareness are being prepared for the future as environmentally conscious individuals, adding, “I wholeheartedly believe that our children will be the architects of a more livable and cleaner world.”
