Near East University Atatürk Faculty of Education Department of Classroom Teaching students donated the ‘Mathematics Poster Projects’ they prepared within the scope of the Mathematics Teaching course to Dr. Suat Günsel Nicosia State Primary School.

Near East University faculty member Prof. Dr. Murat Tezer, who took part in the execution of the project, said that they aimed to increase the mathematics achievement of primary school students with this project they prepared according to new education and training theories. Prof. Dr. Tezer also stated that students will acquire the ability to solve real-life problems using mathematics. The prospective teachers who donated their projects stated that they were very happy that the posters they prepared as part of the course would be used as teaching materials by primary school students.

Dr. Suat Günsel Nicosia State Primary School Principal Selim Özmenek thanked the Near East University students for this meaningful visit and contribution to their school and said, “We always prioritize success in our school. The mathematics course materials prepared by Near East University students will also contribute to the success of our students.”

The posters were exhibited at the Near East University Atatürk Faculty of Education before being donated to Dr. Suat Günsel Nicosia State Primary School.
